Sarah has started her exams for ninth grade, and then she will go to the gymnasium.
Yesterday her exam was "Christianity", discussing the differences between Christianity and Islam.
She called me and told me, she got a 12, which is the highest grade you can get!
I am so very very proud of her ♥

She got some writing results too.
"Danish writing," she got 12 too, "Dictation" earned her a 10 and "Reading Comprehension" earned her a 7 - she did not complete the assignment, so it is a good grade for her.

Today Mum and I went to the hospital for Mums cataract surgery on her right eye.
Mum was a little nervous before going in, but it was only 20 minutes and it went well.
The doctor made two tiny holes in the eye with laser, and then took out the damaged eye lens. She rinsed the eye for the cataract and then put a new lens into the eye. I was waiting for Mum and she was free to leave when she got out.
After the bus ride, I had Mum sitting on a bench when I went shopping for her and me.
Mum is at home now, resting.
There is a checkup at the hospital on Saturday.
I`ll give her eye drops every day, and in two weeks Mum will have surgery on her left eye.
I called on Mum to see if she needs anything. Just got back from more shopping and walking the dogs.
I am baking bread now and I will deliver one for Mum tomorrow around the time I will give Mum her eyedrops.

We will go to the hospital on a check up on Saturday. Later that day we will be at Benedictes birthday.

Massive congratulations to Sarah! They are great results!
I hope your mum heals up soon and manages to take things easy! She's lucky to have you around to help her!
How are you lately? Other than looking after your mum, I hope things are okay with you as well. *big hugs*

Thank you Honey, I´ll let her know what you said.
On Wednesday she have an oral English exam, and I am sure she will be brilliant at that too.

Mum sis doing so well, she can see everything so much clearer now ;) and that is just one eye. The check up Saturday went well, and we are doing everything right.

I am ok, I have a few bad days, but that is because the weather has been so hot the past two weeks. When it is hot, my arm get worse and I can0`t handle the warmth.

What about you? I haven`t heard from you lately, so if you want to send an email you are welcome♥

Good luck to Sarah with her English oral exam - she will be brilliant! So glad your mum is doing well and seeing better already!

Sorry to hear the hot weather affects you badly. It's been uncomfortably hot here too, I don't get on well in hot weather like this so fingers crossed it cools down soon for both of us!

I'm okay, thanks. It was Mum's 70th birthday this weekend and we had cake and pizza and lots of chocolate, but now I'm back on my diet! I've torn a muscle in my calf and can't walk properly at the moment - I'm supposed to stay off it for two weeks and take it easy for another eight weeks, which is very difficult for me! Like you, I have jobs and responsibilities to help Mum that just have to be done, no matter what! So I'm hobbling about and trying to do things as normally as possible!

*big hugs*

Sarah is one smart cookie :) So proud of her!

So, does this mean your mom is awake while they do all that to her eye?! :o That is such a scary thought!

I'm glad it went well, though! And mhmm, yummy fresh bread :) So the new oven is working well?

She is;) and I am so proud of her too....

Mum is awake during the operation. Before she gets 2*4 eyedrops that numbs the eye. Mum is not brave when it comes to pain, so when she says it doesn`t hurt it really doesn`t ;)

The new owen is perfect. We will make good use of it when you arrive here ;;) ♥

That sounds very uncomfortable, to be awake during that procedure. Is there an option to not be awake that you can choose if you wish? :D It's not so much the pain that scares me, more that you know and witness whats going on :s

Hehe, yes we will :)

It only takes between 15-20 min, so it is not so bad.
Mum is afraid of pain, and when she can do it, I believe it doesnt hurt. She had a sterile cloth over her head, with just a hole for the one eye. Also they gave her something around the eye to stop her from blinking.

I miss you and I look forward to October ♥♥

Okay, so that's a relieve that she can't actually see what's going on, I though she'd had to watch it with the other eye :D

Me too :)
