As I have been a bad friend here, due to me being sick most of April, I will do this as a way for me to be with you guys “KIND OF A MEME FOR MAY…”

Today the subject is books…How do you read them?

I for one, as a long life lover of books, and later being a book seller, I´ve always loved my books...
Big, heavy and with a lot of pages to turn…HEAVEN!
I have shelf upon shelf in my apartment filled with books, a lot of them standing in two rows…

But after I god breast cancer in 2007, things changed….as you know, my fine motor skills gets worse and worse, so in the end I had problems holding a real book, it would be to heavy to read in bed.
And spending a lot of time in bed due to pain and problems, means wanting to read ;)

But a lovely Lady called RJ Scott got me a Kindle!!
What a life saver!

It is easy to use; I can download books to it with one click, and then just read.
Doesn’t mean that I don´t buy hardback/paperback books, because I do…

If you take a look at my Kindle it is almost only M/M books….as my shelves are books collected over the past 36 years ;)

But now….how do you like to read your books and what kind of books do you read?

I love books, always have. I remember going to the library as a kid, like twice a week, borrowing around ten books each time. Of course, I didn't really read them all in the end, and I usually returned them with a great delay, but I loved it. All the stories, the smell of old books, the place itself. I haven't been in a library in years, and I don't really know why. Maybe because there are different people than I used to know and most of the books are old? I buy books now.

These days I mostly read in the bathtub. Or in bed when I can't sleep.

I'm jealous of your Kindle. I'd love to have one, too, but I can't afford it right now or any time soon, and as a gift, it's just too expensive. I'd use it probably for fics only anyway. ;)

I love reading real books, but with my hands getting worse all the time I love the Kindle to read from. I was so lucky, that Diane had a friend in USA that had a spare one she just send to me for free...people can be amazing sometimes.

I have a lot of pdf books I´d bought online, I can send you some on mail if you´d like...

I just remembered that I have a .pdf of the fic I'd 'written' for you and I don't know if you've read it already, but if not, I can send it to you so you can read it on the Kindle.

I can send you some on mail if you´d like...
Thank you. I'll let you know when I run out of classic books to read (which will be quite soon, I think). ;)
