All that jazz...and a little more

Here is a little about my jazz weekend;)

So…My weekend was great.
I went to my parents Friday evening and slept over, cause we had to leave Saturday morning for The Jazz Festival in Silkeborg…
We had packed lunches and sodas and coffee, and of we went.
We arrived around twelve midday, and the first thing I had to do was go boy a new pair of shoes, cause the sandals I wore just fell apart!!
So, I bought new sandals and we found a tent with music…The first band we heard was” Mike Owen & his Woodland Jazz Band”, who played New Orleans-jazz.
It was great, there was a lot of singing - and since I enjoy singing, as you know;) I sang a lot.
Then we had lunch at the river and listened to more music…
The next band we saw was an Italian band called “Milano Hot Jazz Orchestra”, they were really great and had one of the cutest Sax players I have seen!!
So we bought some coffee and bears and enjoyed ourselves.
(The music is free, so they expect people to boy drinks, food and souvenirs, and they DO)
We stayed for the band we were waiting for: The Danish “Bourbon Street Jazzband” with Jesper Thilo, probably the best tenor sax player we have in Denmark!!
They were amazing!! The sax improvisations he and the bands sax player made blew my socks of (If I had worn any)….
They played for almost two hours.
Then we went for something to eat, and decided to hear them again later;) We found the tent where we came across a very talented young Norwegian sax and clarinet player called Lars Frank. I have heard him before so it was a treat to hear him again..
Then at ten in the evening “Bourbon Street Jazzband” with Jesper Thilo came back and we spend another two hours in ecstasy.
At twelve at night we headed towards my parents home and I spend the night with them again. We had a bear and a whisky when we came back and went to bed at three in the night, with our ears humming with the music.

Today the new Princess of Denmark was baptised, her name is Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe…
I watched it with my mum and Sarah.
Sarah had guessed her name would be “Louise Annette Sarah Gitte Thea” (named after her other aunt, me, herself, my mum, and her new baby sister) and I guessed at something with Leonora in it.
