Day 26 — Your week, in great detail

This might be cheating but it was a great week and something I was writing about anyway;)

Sarah arrived Sunday afternoon, bringing luggage enough to move in;)
Thea came along but she was more interested in going visiting Grandma and Balder, so they didn’t stay for long..
We had to make a grocery run for candy and other bare necessities and spend the rest of the day working on the dollhouse, and eating Turkish Meat rolls and spicy potatoes for dinner.
We ordered a Alice in Wonderland doll from the Disney store, Sarah want to collect all the plush toys.
We watched “Tangled” before bed…

Sarah making a face;)

Mum and I had been invited to my Aunts birthday that day..(remember my Aunt and Grandmother that moved right after my Dad died..her)
We had decided to go and then see how Grandmother was doing in the retirement home she is living in now.
So we packed the car just after noon, with the two of us, Sarah, Balder and candy and sodas, and went.
We had a few nice hours in the car, Sarah chatting away and all of us singing and having fun. Balder was jumping around my feet and having his own fun.
We arrived around coffee time with Grandmother and she was really pleased to see Sarah too. Sarah had made a Hello Kitty charm for her that she liked a lot.

After a couple of hours we went to my Aunt to find she wasn’t at home! After some phone calls she came and showed us the apartment she had….it looked a lot like the two rooms she had in the apartment here, but she have to learn to take care of herself…
We went to a banquet room, where another Aunt was cooking the dinner for the guests.
The weather was nice so Sarah and I went outside with Balder and Sarah played with my Cousins son, they had a great time. He is ten and charmed her a lot;)
We drove home later that night and sang and talked all the way with Balder sound asleep at my feet;)

Sarah and I spend the morning relaxing and working on the dollhouse.
We went to the movies later that day, watching a Danish animation movie named ”Orla Frøsnapper”, it is an old Danish children’s book made into a movie. I loved the book as a kid and enjoyed the movie too.

After the movie we went to Sarah’s favourite second-hand store.
She bought stuff for the dollhouse, a handbag in ”gold” and I bought a book.
We did a bit of shopping and went home.

The morning was spend watching TV, playing a game and waiting for the delivery of my new chair.
The old one has been broken for a long time and I’ve bought a new one the week before, paying for delivering too.

The new one, only mine is in dusty green

Sarah killed the old one with a hammer and a screwdriver, so we could get it out onto the balcony.

The post brought Sarahs “Alice” so she was more than pleased;)

The afternoon we spend with Mum and Balder in the Garden…
Sarah had a lot of fun with the hose and she christened Balder properly.

We was makeing pizza for dinner and Sarah had promised Mum some.
Around six in the evening I got really tired and stressed so Sarah send me to the living room to watch TV. Then she made the meat sauce, the pizzas, and baked them so everything was ready at 7.30.
I was so proud of her..she brought Mum dinner as I cleaned the kitchen and we ate when she came back.

We had planned a train ride that day, but it was raining cats and dogs so we changed plans.

Mum had suggested Build-A-Bear and IKEA so we called her and made that the plans for that day.

Build-A-Bear had a special with a bear, cloths and shoes for 299,00kr ($57 or £35)
So we went and bought bears.
Sarah got a pink dog and I got a Rainbow coloured Bear and a small dragon;)
Mum bought a Strawberry Bear and we bought a Hello Kitty for Thea..

Then we went to IKEA for lunch and had Chicken, fries and béarnaise sauce.
We had coffee and cakes and Sarah had icecream on top of everything;)

Sarah pronounced as I was tugging her in that this was one of the best days she had ever had in her life.

Friday was a bright and sunny day, so we went on our train ride.
We had bought two tickets so we could travel with buses and trains all over Northern Jutland.
So we took the bus to the train station - Mum and Balder came to wish us a great day - the train was there when we entered so we found some great seats and had a good time.
Sarah brought Alice for the trip and we ate pizza and we had fun.

Sarah and Alice on the train

We had to get on another train in Frederikshavn to get to Skagen, the town the farthest north you can get in Denmark

We went to the Bear museum, the only one we have here. We had been here two years ago, Sarah, my parents and me, and Sarah wanted to see it again - and so did I.
It is an amazing museum and we spend a lot of time there.
We bought presents and postcards there.

Then we went to The Water Tower, Sarah wanted to see the view there. It was 120 steps and 34 metres, but I made it..I almost died, but I made it;)

We went to another museum, bought a few items and then went to the shopping street.
There was a girl there drawing pictures of people for 100,00kr, so Sarah got drawed as a present for Mum.

We ate some hotdogs and wrote cards and then we had to catch the train back home

We went to Mums with the presents and Sarahs chatting about the trip, before we came here;)

The last day we went with Mum to visit Dads grave.
That date July 2nd, was the 45th years of Mum and Dads engagement.
Sarah had never been there but on account of the speciality of the day she had bought presents.
A bear to put on dads grave and we went to pick out flowers too.

Mum bought the bouquet on the stone, Sarah the orange flowers and I the purple. The bear in the glass is from Sarah too

When we got home we watched a movie and then Sarah got picked up when my SIL got of work.

Sarah told me, it had been the best week EVER;)

Oh, it looks like you had a lot of fun, I'm glad you did. I might be possibly a bit jealous; I spent the week painting and cleaning. ;)

I must say that Bear museum would probably scare me though. Don't ask why, I'm weird. :)
